We also take part in the Public Access scheme that allows members of the public to instruct a barrister directly.

Structure of Pupillage

We have a long-established history of recruiting from our own pupils, having offered tenancies to 10 out of the last 10 pupils. We aim to provide the highest quality pupillage training in a friendly and supportive environment. This includes the provision of an advocacy training programme specifically designed to prepare pupils for the type of cases that they are likely to be dealing with in their formative years. During pupillage itself, pupils will be mentored by up to seven different pupil supervisors (in seven-week ‘seats’). This allows pupils to experience a wide range of work in each of our core practice areas.

Pupils have monthly appraisals and a formal assessment at the end of each ‘seat’. These are designed to provide pupils with consistent and transparent guidance on their progress and development.

Why 3 Hare Court?
