Pupillage Vacancy Information
About AETO and Structure of Pupillage
This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake pupillage at a global legal business. DWF Chambers now comprises 16 barristers, two pupils, five clerks and a team of junior advocates, located at offices in Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, London and Manchester. Our team is fully integrated into DWF Group.
DWF Chambers has developed a structured and challenging pupillage programme. Our aim is to ensure that a pupillage with DWF Chambers is a stimulating and exciting experience and that all pupils receive the support necessary to fulfil their potential.
We are recruiting up to three pupil barristers to commence pupillage in September 2025. Pupillages can be offered in any of our five offices depending on candidate preference and business need. The core practice areas will be personal injury, commercial insurance, employment and regulatory.
An offer of pupillage at DWF Chambers is an offer of a fixed term contract of employment during the period of pupillage. Whilst there is no guarantee of employment at DWF Chambers post-pupillage, we recruit and train pupils with every intention of offering a permanent position post-pupillage. Since 2020, seven pupils have completed pupillage with DWF Chambers and all seven have been offered employment as a qualified barrister post-pupillage. The salary for a newly qualified barrister at DWF Chambers is a minimum of £55,000.
