Pupillage Vacancy Information

Our financial support comes to £70,000 made up of £35,000 award and £35,000 guaranteed earnings. Diligent pupils have in the past earned approximately £40,000 and we therefore anticipate the guaranteed earnings being exceeded.

Aspiring barristers are invited to apply to chambers between Wednesday 4 January 2023 and Wednesday 8 February 2023 using the Pupillage Gateway application system to search for the relevant Pupillage Vacancy and selecting ‘Apply for this pupillage’.

2. Why do you want to join our chambers? In your answer, please give reasons for your choice of chambers and explain why you are interested in our areas of practice  (max 1200 characters)

3. Last year, 31 new emojis were created and recognised. What new emoji would you create and why? Please identify your new emoji and then explain why you would create it in no more than five short sentences.  (max 2500 characters)

About AETO and Structure of Pupillage

Farrar’s Building is an outstanding chambers for pupils to obtain wide experience during their training. Pupillage is organised in three four-month periods. The second four months is dedicated to assisting pupils make the transition from non-practising to practising. During this period pupils will be in court with junior members of chambers on a regular basis, experiencing the type of work they will be expected to undertake as soon as they are on their feet. Pupils are also encouraged to get involved in high profile cases.
