Structure of Pupillage
During a 12 month criminal pupillage at Foundry Chambers, pupils generally have three supervisors – changing every four months. Pupils will undertake the first six months shadowing their supervisor and other members of chambers. We aim to ensure that pupils are exposed to the full range of Chambers’ areas of practice, including an even mix of criminal prosecution and defence, regulatory and local authority work, extradition, asset recovery and confiscation, and professional discipline. During their second six, pupils will have their own case load in the Magistrates, Youth and Crown Court. More information about pupillage can be found in our detailed Guide to Pupillage, which is available on our website.
