We have an excellent reputation in the local area and have lots of local connections along with offering services nationwide. We are looking to offer Pupillage to enhance our offering in the market. We are committed to provide a supporting environment, that encourages the pupil to attain their goals. Our main practice areas include Criminal, Family and Immigration.
Structure of Pupillage
We are looking to recruit up to 2 pupils. Pupillage is with a view to an offer of employment as in in-house barrister, upon successful completion of pupillage.
We expect the Pupil to be able to move between the Family, Criminal, and Immigration departments, so they are exposed to a variety of work. Pupils are each allocated a dedicated pupil supervisor.
Each pupillage is 12 months in duration, divided into a non-practicing period (6 months) and a practicing period (6 months).
Financial and Other Support Available
This is a salaried position as an employed pupil. The salary is £22,800 per annum, which exceeds the minimum award set by the BSB. Upon successful completion of pupillage, an offer of employment will be made at an increased salary.
