Iscoed Chambers is a common law set based in Swansea but covering courts throughout South Wales and throughout England and Wales.
Structure of Pupillage
Pupils are generally assigned a pupil supervisor for the first six depending on their practice ambitions and availability of suitably qualified pupil supervisors. The second six can be more flexible and pupils are encouraged to get experience in all the Chambers practice areas.
How to Apply
Aspiring barristers are invited to apply to chambers between 2 January 2025 and 6 February 2025 using the Pupillage Gateway application system to search for the relevant Pupillage Vacancy and selecting ‘Apply for this pupillage’.
In addition to the standardised Bar Council questionnaire, candidates will be asked to respond to the following questions from Chambers:
- Why do you believe you will make a good barrister?(character limit 2500)
- Why do you want to join our chambers? (character limit 2500)
- What skills have your learnt from your previous work experience and mini-pupillages which will help you in your future career at the Bar? (character limit 2500)
- What are your strengths and weaknesses? How will these help you at the independent Bar? (character limit 2500)
