Madison Legal is a specialist commercial and offshore disputes practice based in London, with a distinctive cross-border focus on work arising out of Gibraltar. The firm’s advocates are regularly instructed in complex commercial, financial services, insurance and insolvency matters with an international dimension, and Madison Legal has developed a strong reputation for its expertise in Gibraltar law and regulation.

Our work combines the analytical precision of the Bar with the strategic approach of commercial litigation, serving clients across multiple jurisdictions.

Pupillage at our firm provides a comprehensive foundation in commercial practice. Pupils gain experience in both contentious and non-contentious work. The first six months focus on developing core written and advisory skills through close supervision, drafting pleadings, opinions, and research. The second six months provide opportunities for advocacy and independent work, with pupils encouraged to begin building their own practice.

Any other relevant information

We recruit all pupils with a view to tenancy. Subject to performance and business needs, successful pupils are typically offered employment upon completion of pupillage.

Pupils are entitled to statutory holiday pay.  

All training and feedback are structured around quarterly reviews and formal assessments at the end of each six-month period.
