Structure of Pupillage
A pupillage at QEB is divided into three four-month periods each spent with a different supervisor. In addition, pupils are encouraged to work with other tenants at all levels to gain broad experience.
During second-six a pupil can usually be expected to be in court once or twice a week, with the volume of work increasing towards the end of their pupillage.
Financial and Other Support Available
The pupillage award is £50,000 per year paid in monthly instalments in addition to their earnings during the second six months of pupillage. Although we cannot guarantee any particular figure, second six earnings are typically between £7,500 and £20,000.
