We are a highly regarded Chancery set of chambers based in London, specialising in private client, Court of Protection, partnership, property and commercial chancery work. Our size means that no one is lost in the crowd. We maintain a friendly and relaxed atmosphere while still producing a first-rate service for our clients. We have an experienced clerks’ team who take an active role in ensuring the success of each member’s practice.
Structure of Pupillage
The pupillage is structured so as to equip our pupil with all the necessary skills for successful practice at the Chancery Bar. You will have two pupil supervisors and will sit with two other members of chambers, all of whom are recognised by the legal directories. Evaluation takes place through discussion with your supervisor and monthly written reviews. We do not make you do formal assessments, although you will be given advocacy exercises.
During the second six months, there will be opportunities for you to undertake work of your own, although the focus will remain on learning from your supervisors.
Financial and Other Support Available
The award pupillage award is £75,000, with up to a quarter available for draw down in the preceding year. Where you need to travel outside of London for work with your supervisor, Chambers will pay for travel and accommodation.

In addition to the standardised Bar Council questionnaire, you will be asked to respond to the following questions:
1. Please set out what you are currently doing. (50 words, max)
2. If you have not set out above your A-level grades (or equivalent) or the overall grade you achieved for any degrees you have completed, please go back and do so. If available and if not already set out above, please specify here the individual subjects studied as part of your first degree (whether you studied law or not) and any QLD or GDL (if applicable) with dates and grades, e.g. "Tort 20xx: 67%". If your grade was a 2.1, please also give an overall percentage. (No word limit)
3. If you have answered "yes" to the Bar Council’s question about convictions etc, please give details of the conviction(s), caution(s) and/or final warning(s). (500 words, max)
4. Chambers’ selection criteria are as follows:
a) Genuine interest in Chambers’ fields of practice;
b) Academic ability;
c) Analysis and reasoning;
d) Knowledge and understanding of the law;
e) Written communication skills;
f) Oral communication skills;
g) Ability to relate to lay and professional clients;
h) Resilience, perseverance and a drive to succeed at the Bar.
